superb location, superb hospitality, very generous with the breakfast etc - and we were even able to do a bit on the farm which was fun. Jeannine welcomed us, but then had to be away, so Hugh looked after us - and we mean really looked after us - absolutely beautiful country hospitality.

We had a very relaxing couple of days at Fay’s Cottage. The hosts were very responsive and accommodating, and provide lots of thoughtful touches such as toiletries, fresh bread, scones, cereals, milk, salt & pepper, & more. Beds are very comfortable and there are dvds, books & board games to entertain. The verandah - which overlooks paddocks with cows and horses - is a wonderful spot to relax and have a cuppa, or glass of wine. We were also lucky enough to feed the calves - a real highlight. Dorrigo is a quaint little town, surrounded by amazing national parks - we loved everything about our weekend away.

The perfect country escape - so wonderful. ☺ A country paradise with five star country hospitality . The extra little touches like fresh home baked bread and Devonshire tea just made it even more special. Hugh and Janniene are incredible hosts.

A real treat! It is 16 kms from Dorrigo but well worth the trip ☺ Location is a little piece of paradise. Loved the old-style cottage with all its delightful contents. Hosts were friendly and extremely helpful, but not at all intrusive. Lovely people. Breakfast provisions were great and plentiful. Fire was set and plenty of firewood was provided. Everything you could need is there.

We wish we could have stayed longer! A beautiful cottage in a stunning location. Thank you! ☺ We loved and enjoyed everything about our stay at Fay's Cottage. Our hosts were delightful, the cottage was cosy and comfortable and we were fortunate that it was cool weather so we could enjoy the fire. Janniene's scones were delicious, worth driving all that way just for that and her wonderful fresh bread in the morning. Our stay was everything we hoped for and we enjoyed all of it. Staying on Janniene and Hugh's farm was so relaxing and perfect. ☹ Nothing disappointed. It was perfect.

Lovely, comfortable Bed and Breakfast farm stay close to Dorrigo and along the Waterfall Way ☺ Our Host was an absolute delight. Very friendly and attentive to our comfort and needs. Breakfast AND afternoon Devonshire tea provided. The location is lovely - peaceful and picturesque. The bed is very comfortable and the kitchen well serviced with the necessary cooking tools. The Bathroom serves the job nicely but don't expect unnecessary comforts in this room -this is a renovated cottage not a hotel room. WiFi is available. In the fields around the cottage, docile cattle roam including a cute little orphan called Bentwing who gets hand-fed - it's a great place for kids to see what a working farm is like. Nearby, in the town of Dorrigo, is the absolutely beautiful Dorrigo National Park Rainforest Centre where you get to walk around the best rainforest we have seen in NSW and QLD (2-2.5hr walk) boasting 2 gorgeous waterfalls and a third (the impressive Dangar Falls) just minutes away from the Centre. Sadly I can't unload photos. ☹ These are NOT really negatives - I am mentioning them merely to inform new guests. The drive to the cottage does include a long dirt road and our first drive on it was daunting - NOT because it's a bad road but simply because we drive a sedan and are used to city driving. BUT once mastered it was no longer a concern. The only other issue is probably that it would be nice to have been able to lock both the doors. Although being out in the countryside meant it was, in all honesty, probably not needed, again it is something you get used to with city-living (where it IS necessary).

Exceptional overall experience with a lovely cottage in a superb location with perfect hosts. ☺ The cottage is sweet and very comfortable. The views from the porch are stunning. We enjoyed everything about the place. The location is private and so picturesque. Janniene and Hugh were such gracious and friendly hosts and we felt most welcome and spoilt. The cattle are beautiful and we enjoyed the antics of ‘Bentwing’ the little pet calf. Janniene spoils her guests with homemade scones and bread which were delicious. Hugh very kindly came to our rescue with his chainsaw when a tree came down across the road blocking us from going into town for dinner. Peaceful, beautiful, relaxing and perfect.
